Nevada News Bureau

Launched in 2009, Nevada News Bureau is an “independent, non-partisan news service covering government and politics in Nevada.” Initially founded as a project of the non-profit Citizen Outreach, Nevada News Bureau filed to become a non-profit organization in 2010. It is supported by the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity and by other donors, some of them anonymous. The Franklin Center seeks to “investigate and inform the public about waste, fraud, abuse, ethical questions and safety concerns involving the use of taxpayer dollars,” and was launched with the help of the Sam Adams Alliance, a free-market think tank.
