Launched in 2009, the Missouri Watchdog is a news website dedicated to investigative journalism about local, state and federal government across the state. The site is a project of the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity. The Franklin Center seeks to “investigate and inform the public about waste, fraud, abuse, ethical questions and safety concerns involving the use of taxpayer dollars,” and was launched with the help of the Sam Adams Alliance, a free-market think tank.
